Who loves emails?? Well, apparently lots of people. Specifically, lots of the 145+ folks who attended the Better Together 10-year Anniversary & Vision Summit on June 18. 

I’m sharing details about the email campaign that I developed for Better Together’s Summit below, because Gabriela and I want you to steal this strategy to build excitement for your next in-person event. 🎉

Here’s the behind-the-scenes look at the exact email sequence we used to build momentum for the 2025 Better Together Summit. The first email went out on April 3 and the event took place on June 18. You’ll see:

❎ We didn’t use any fancy email platforms. All of these emails were sent directly from Gabriela’s email address.

❎ We didn’t have an event landing page until email #3.

✅ Some event logistics changed over time. No one noticed/cared!

✅ We sent a post-Summit Thank You email to everyone who attended.

✅ We ran a light, organic (no ads) social media campaign leading up to the Summit.

✅ Event sponsors received personalized Thank You emails and social media shoutouts.

❎ Next time, we won’t worry about filtering out folks who RSVP’d from email reminders leading up to an event—bless Gabriela for those tedious hours spent tracking who RSVP’d!
